Events and Activities...

Festival Day
Held Annually on the
First Saturday in October

The day begins long before dawn for volunteers, law enforcement and vendors as they arrive in the dark to prepare for the day’s events.  Parking lots are marked and staffed -  streets are closed and marked for vendors and the Fire Dept. and local restaurants begin serving breakfast early.  Thousands of pounds of cranberries and craisins are bagged and ready for the consumers.  Cranberries are also sold in parking lots for your convenience.  The Official Cranberry Booth is located at the top of Main Street Hill on "Cranberry Corner". Please stop by to get your souvenirs and festival clothing along with berries and craisins .  The sounds of music and the  smells of wonderful food grace the air on this crisp autumn morning.  Over 300 Arts and crafts along with food vendors and a great flea & farmers’ markets fill the streets.

When guests are asked why they enjoy our festival over others they reply, “ …we love the small town -  home town atmosphere and the warm feeling it generates.  We don’t have to walk for miles and miles to see all the vendors.”

Festival Parade - 2:00pm

Image description

We are very proud of our small town parade.  Each year we attract more entries of local High School Bands, local Royalties, floats, Shrine Musky Cycle Patrol and many other dignitaries.  The parade starts with a tribute to our US flag.  This truly is a sight to be seen.  The parade starts at 2:00 pm.

This event is a perennial favorite and grows in length each year.  Last year over 65 entries of entertainment.  The parade will be going down Main Street / Sand Lake Rd then down Hwy 70 and finally up 1st Street N.  People love the parade and you will too.

Cranberry Marsh Tours...

Located under the water tower.

Come and witness this beautiful scene for yourself by boarding a bus from the festival and take a breathtaking tour of one of our local marshes.  This event takes approximately one hour.  Buses depart every 30 minutes.

Cranberry Marsh Tours run from
9:00 am to 3:00pm.  Buses will take you to one of our two local marshes - Zawistowski’s or Golden Pond.   Weather providing the marsh employees will be harvesting cranberries as you tour.  You are also provided with interesting facts about cranberries by your tour guide.

Everyone who takes the tour is amazed by the marsh operations and the beautiful picture the floating red berries portray in the autumn landscape.
It truly is a camera moment so make sure you bring your cameras with you.

Ticket Booth and Marsh Tour Bus Stop is located in a tent under the water tower on Main Street/Sand Lake Rd & Jackson Street.

Tickets are $5.00 per person and sold at the booth throughout the day. Make sure to stop by early to secure a seat on one of the tours. No advance tickets sold prior to day of festival.

Krate Derby - Following Parade

The Krate Derby follows after the end of the parade.  This event is also a viewer favorite among repeat Cranberry Festival guests.
